Humahuaca Gorge + Iruya

From Humahuaca we head North and then detour East into a road that leads us to Iruya. We ascend Abra del Condor to 3900 meters, with a spectacular view of the valley and cultivated terraces hanging from the mountains and then go down to 2780 m, where this charming town is located. Nestled in the foothills of Zenta, Iruya is an old town of narrow and steep cobbled stone streets that seems to have been lost in time. You can spend the night here or at any town along the Humahuaca Gorge.
